Got a bad result on Sahara, just a 1st and the reason was that she had to much white on her feet! I get so mad when judges is throwing out good hounds because they do not like the white! But what is serious is that there was two judges in the ring for training, and they have now learned that white is not allowed!!!
I just refer to the book "A discussion of The Irish Wolfhound" by Anthony Killykeen-Doyle.
"I am also tired of some breeders and judges condemning white markings on our hounds. This is prejudice without foundation. In fact, the genetic term "Irish spotting" refers to a colour pattern consisting of four white feet, a white chest, and a white tip to the tail, usually occurring on a dark or grey hound. Irish Wolfhounds marked in this manner were greatly favoured by breeders in the past and indeed, by knowledgeable breeders in the present. Discriminating against these traditionally marked animals is another example of misguided "experts" throwing the baby out with the bath water".

I only had Sahara and Liam with me since Tara has been mated and I hope she is exspecting puppies. This was the first officiel show for the babies!

Today I mated Tara with Dubh. Krossing my fingers for puppies.

Tara was 2 best champion and 2 best bitch.
Sahara and Liam was shown as puppies:.

And my dear friend Ane Lid Lerheim ended up with BEST IN SHOW with her deerhound!!!!

Sahara and Liam was shown for the first time as puppies.
Results:: Sahara: 1st in her class (age), 2 best bitch
Liam: BOS
Tara became 2 best champion the first day, and 2 best bitch the next day.
17.06.2007 - IW Specialty
The Specialty was judged by Els Swelheim-Kruisinga from the Nedherlands.
And it became a nice specialty for us:
BOS and with the CERT she became a Champion: "Tara" N UCh Ballygrna's Ashling Anwen.
Best in show was "Loke" N UCh Emerald Isle's Tipperary- Owner Janne Andersen.
Both hounds also got the title SIWW 2007
2 best male and with CERT went to Taras brother, Zeb who also became a champion today.
N UCh Ballygran's Aroon Zeb.
He also won tallest male for the 3 time in a row at 94,5 cm (37 inch) tall.

I think it was very nice that best male, and 2 best male, and best bitch have the same grandmother; Killykeen Kansas!
"Konrad" N S UCh Rovaleco's Irco Idol was BOS Veteran.

The puppies are 3 weeks old today. The puppies are now running around the living room and playing. They also have found toys interesting. New pictures of all the puppies alone and also some lovely once together... C-Litter

The puppies are now 2 weeks old, they are all growing and getting nicer every day. They have started to open their eyes, and are walking much more now. They also play a little and listen to my voice when I talk to them. Two of the puppies have already managed to climb out of the box, so I have to build it higher already.

Two days past her term the first puppy came at 05:00 in the morning. 7 puppies in total, 1 boy and 6 bitches. The colours are wheaten/fawn and brindle. For pictures go to c-kull.
